Opportunity Description
Become an integral part of Marymound's multi-disciplinary team as an Adolescent Treatment Counsellor. This permanent full-time role involves stabilizing youth facing co-occurring disorders through effective interventions.
As a Youth Treatment Counsellor, you will work within a semi-secure setting, collaborating closely with care providers to formulate, assess, and adjust treatment plans. Utilize your crisis intervention skills and engage youth in therapeutic activities. Your proactive approach will help to identify triggers and mitigate harmful behaviors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess clients’ progress and implement behavioral strategies
• Safely de-escalate crisis situations using NVCI techniques
• Participate in admissions and transfers alongside the team
• Engage in therapy sessions including group and individual treatments
• Maintain accurate records and logs for treatment continuity
