YKDFN Employment & Community Support Counselor

Strengthen workforce capacity in Indigenous communities as a Support Counselor at YKDFN. This role focuses on career development and fostering partnerships for sustainable employment solutions.
As part of your duties under the Economic Development Director, you will develop and deliver career programming while providing individualized employment support. Your efforts will ensure YKDFN members access needed resources for training and employment, while demonstrating respect for Dene culture in all programming.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized career counseling and job search support
• Design workshops that include traditional values and skills training
• Build connections with employers and community partners
• Coordinate and participate in career fairs and recruitment efforts
• Evaluate programs based on community feedback and outcomes
