Wastewater Technician II (2nd Shift)

**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Wastewater Technician II performs preventive and corrective maintenance on wastewater treatment equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Work includes the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, and chemical systems. The Incumbent also supports the installation of new equipment and communicates with operators and vendors to maintain optimal system performance. The Wastewater Technician II is expected to follow all safety procedures and complete accurate records in the work order system.

**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Diagnose mechanical problems and apply advanced troubleshooting skills.
+ Perform repairs and maintenance on wastewater treatment equipment such as conveyors, screens, thickeners, screw presses, ultrafilters, chemical dosing systems, pumps, and piping.
