Join Island Health as a locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist in the bustling Royal Jubilee Hospital, known for its 500-bed capacity and cardiac surgery referral services. Collaborate with a team of 7-9 cardiac specialists while managing various cardiac and surgical cases. Your role will primarily focus on providing anesthesia for up to 800 cardiac surgeries each year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide cardiac anesthesia coverage and general anesthesia
• Manage a 9-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit
• Conduct preoperative assessments and consultations
• Implement peri-operative TEE services as needed
• Mentor and teach medical students and residents
Requirements:
• Must have full licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
