Vehicle Supervisor

Primary Purpose

Applies technical knowledge of the maintenance function to supervise delivery of day-to-day services for the Vehicle department. Manages the provision of technical services to ensure the optimum condition, reliability and safety of company assets relating to vehicles, equipment and infrastructure.

Key Accountabilities

• Plans day-to-day delivery of technical services and ensures compliance with all safety regulations and safe work practices, identifies safety risks and takes corrective action. Ensures that there is shift continuity for shift changes.
• Supports the manager in the development of departmental budget and business plans, including identifying staffing needs, equipment, materials and supplies. Ensures effective execution of business plans by ensuring all necessary tools and materials for scheduled maintenance requirements and special projects are available in stock.
