Job Summary

Working in the Underground Utilities Section of the Operations department, the Utility Operator will assist management to achieve an efficient operation of the City's sewer collection and water distribution systems and install storm drainage systems. Responsibilities include maintenance, installation, and repair of sewer collection, drainage, pumping, and water supply systems, ensuring public health by preventing and controlling private property damage due to water escapement or sewer backup, and complying with municipal policies and safety practices.
