Upholstery line manager

Key responsibilities Directly manage all department staff including production workers, supervisors, and service hands — assigning tasks in line with production plans and monitoring performance. Execute daily and weekly production plans to meet output, quality, and delivery requirements, ensuring efficient use of labour and equipment. Ensure production lines are correctly manned and balanced, including adjustments for absenteeism as guided by the time study department. Address production variances and disruptions — including shortages, damages, rejects, and technical issues — with corrective action within 24 hours. Enforce housekeeping, OHS compliance, PPE usage, and waste separation standards across the department at all times. Monitor in-process and final output quality in close collaboration with the QA team to reduce offline rejections and damages.
