Ultrasound Technologist – Job Description

WELL Health Diagnostic Centres is seeking a skilled and certified Ultrasound Technologist to perform all types of general ultrasound examinations on various ultrasound equipment, including MSK, ABDOMEN, PELVIC, BREAST, and THYROID. This position is available for full-time, part-time, and casual work.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure patient identification, safety, and preparation are correct prior to a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Greet patients, explain forthcoming tests, position patients, and prepare them for examination.
• Observe patients during the diagnostic procedure, noting any symptoms or changes in vital signs, and summon medical aid when necessary.
• Ensure all quality control assessments are performed as required, taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
