Support vulnerable children and youth at Treehouse Child and Youth Advocacy Centre as a Victim Support Worker. This full-time role focuses on delivering specialized support for victims of abuse.
In this position, you will serve on a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting vulnerable populations affected by crime, particularly children and youth facing abuse and their families. You will also assist adult survivors of childhood abuse, ensuring they navigate the system with effective advocacy and support. Your role will encompass crisis intervention, relationship management with law enforcement, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver advocacy and support to young victims of abuse
• Foster connections with law enforcement and social services
• Conduct crisis intervention and safety planning
• Ensure all documentation and records are maintained accurately
• Collaborate with team members for effective service delivery
