Transportation Engineer

The Transportation Engineer, under the direction of the Transportation Engineering Manager, is responsible for transportation functional planning, policy development, network planning and transportation engineering, concept development and preliminary design for various transportation and mobility projects as well as the review of major developments in the community. This position manages inquiries from the public, developers, staff and other organizations or agencies related to transportation policies plans, projects, transportation requirements, intersection analysis; production of capital plans related to operations; financial management of the function; and coordination with technical and operations staff. As part of the engineering team of the Integrated Transportation Department, this position considers performance, safety, financial and community impacts of recommendations across a multi-modal transportation system.
