TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT

Summary The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an information controller/capability forecaster within the Air Terminal Operations Center (ATOC), a 24-hour per day, 7 day per week operation. Receives and disseminates information from inside and outside the squadron necessary to ensure mission accomplishment concerning the movement of cargo and passengers through the Defense Transportation System. Responsibilities Functions as an inbound/outbound information controller coordinating operational activities with subordinate work centers for operational continuity. Monitors published sequence of events and maintains surveillance over aerial port activities to ensure efficient, safe and timely execution to meet airlift schedules. Communicates and coordinate with outside agencies for operational effectiveness. Coordinates traffic activities. Coordinates all airlift movement activities.
