Overview

Trades 3 - Electrician, Union position within Electrical Trades | Electrical | Building Operations | Facilities. The role reports to the Head Electrician, Trades Section, Building Operations. Shift is afternoon, with hours of 3:15 p.m. to 1:12 a.m., Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday. Ongoing posting; applications accepted until the posting end date.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled work at the journey-person level in preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, diagnostic repair, alterations and installations of electrical, electro-mechanical, control and communications systems and equipment.
• Work from oral and written instructions from the supervisor and comply with applicable regulatory codes and work orders, drawings, documents and time schedules.
• Respond to trouble calls and emergencies, during and outside normal hours, and address electrical deficiencies reported by tenants through the service request program.
