JOB SUMMARY: The Tooling Maintenance Technician I is responsible for assessing, repairing, and maintaining tools and dies. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting die and tooling issues, performing repairs and sharpening, maintaining the die library, and utilizing precision measurement tools to ensure quality and accuracy
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
+ Assess problems or maintenance needed on a tool
+ Repair worn or broken tools and dies as required
+ Maintain the existing die library in good condition
+ Perform simple sharpening
+ Work with other support tools, such as mics, gauges, and hand tools
+ Sustain a steady work pace and follow a schedule
+ Always keep work area clean
+ Satisfy department operating procedures to quality standards
+ Organize and maintain departmental equipment and supplies
