Opportunity Description
Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Tooling Engineer. The Tooling Engineer is responsible for defining and implementing the functions of product reviews, DFM, tool design, manufacturing, validation, troubleshooting, assembly, modification, and replacement of molds, dies and tooling, ensuring compliance with product and process specifications, maximizing efficiency, and favorably impacting operation indicators such as Quality, Service, and Cost.
What you’ll do
- Develop RFQ for plastic injection molds.
- Work with documentation on transfer mold from other Eaton locations.
- DFM & Product reviews.
- Work with overseas suppliers / tool shops tool design reviews & manufacturing.
- Follow up on tool trials and part validation process.
- Establish strategies / parameters for the use of team capabilities.
- Coordinate tool correction action for new and ongoing manufacturing issues (Root cause analysis).
