Tooling Engineer / Die Designer

Full-time – $75,000–$90,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Design extrusion dies, tooling, and mechanical components/assemblies to manufacture automotive seals.
• Analyze extrusion die flow path using CFD software.
• Work with machinists, tool makers, and process engineers to coordinate tool builds.
• Participate in extrusion tooling and die trials to assist in developing the production process.
• Revise extrusion die design as needed to improve part quality and process optimisation.
• Estimate and provide extrusion tooling quotes and timing.
• Maintain organized design libraries on computer hard drive using specific file naming convention standards.
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Workers Safety Insurance Act and Cooper Standard Automotive Health, Safety and Environment Procedures.
