Therapy Assistant

Overview

Your Opportunity: This position is located in Lacombe, a city in Central Alberta, 20 minutes north of Red Deer. Lacombe offers recreation amenities, parks and trails, and regional public transit. As a Therapy Assistant you will perform safe and effective patient treatment interventions for individuals under the direction of the Physiotherapist in Outpatient Services. You may assist with exercise and mobility programs, provision of mobility aids, ADL training, therapeutic transfers, equipment maintenance and inspection. Other duties include scheduling appointments, equipment provisioning, inventory cleaning and maintenance, ordering supplies, and preparing treatment areas. This position will consist primarily of physical therapy interventions, with some occupational therapy duties possible. There may be opportunities to work under the direction of a Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver group exercise programming to respiratory clients.
