Tenure-Track Faculty Position – Department of Sociology

At Saint Mary's University, the Department of Sociology invites applications for a full‑time, tenure‑track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to commence July01,2027. The successful candidate will conduct substantive research on contemporary issues that promote undergraduate engagement, with potential research areas including sport, violence, religion, science and technology, social/digital media, and emerging trends in AI. The faculty member will also teach introductory sociology and social theory and may provide students with experiential learning opportunities such as community‑engaged learning, applied or practice‑based projects, and other field‑based experiences that connect sociological concepts to real‑world contexts.
