Teller

Summary This position is located in the Finance & Accounting service and is assigned to the Accounting Section staff at the VA Maryland Health Care System. The incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Supervisory Accountant and serves as the primary teller and is liable for the proper disbursement of public funds and the deposit of collections at the medical center and assists with technician level work in the accounting and travel department. Responsibilities Major Duties: The Agent Cashier is responsible for the operation and direction of a full range of complex teller and accounting technician level duties. These duties include but are not limited to receiving and processing all negotiable and non-negotiable instruments; processing all cash disbursements; accurately completing and processing documents and reports of various complexity as required by federal regulations and VA Financial Policies.
