**Purpose and Impact:**
The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Systems Integration & Instrumentation Section, Code 5524, at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, in Washington, DC.
This position will provide technical engineering support for the characterization of Low Earth Orbital Satellite communications and explore performance and architectural options to inform the Government on the application of such communication link in Live, Virtual and Constructive training scenarios. Additionally, similar communications engineering expertise will be used to support the installation and testing of enhanced commercial 5G telecommunications infrastructure to support the sharing of the spectrum bands with DoW incumbent systems that may include radars, sensors and communications equipment.
