Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

The successful candidate

will: -have training and experience (Masters degree, graduate diploma, post baccalaureate or degree) in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education; -have knowledge and skill in audiology assessment and functional hearing assessment; -knowledge and skill in developing IEPs, Safety Plans and Behaviour Support Plans for students with hearing impairments; -work with and train EAs and teachers in working with children with hearing impairment; -be willing to work collaboratively and liaise extensively with parents, inter-ministerial professionals, and Principals; and -provide evidence of the successful application of instructional and professional skills (as per Article E.27.3 of the collective agreement).
