The Thunder Bay Correctional Centre is looking for an experienced Staff Sergeant to manage complex operations in a maximum‑security institution. You will supervise Corporals and Correctional Officers, ensure the institution remains safe 24/7, and take decisive action under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Make timely decisions under pressure, manage incidents and emergencies, and lead reviews and investigations into critical events.
• Oversee staffing and deployment, stepping in during high‑risk situations and supporting staff during after‑hours, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
• Hold individuals accountable when standards are not met and maintain operational and security standards.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to staff in a unionized correctional environment.
