Systems Engineer (AIX) - IBM Power Systems

Job Overview

This role is office-based in Mexico and requires professional fluency in English (spoken and written). We are seeking an experienced IBM AIX Systems Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize AIX-based infrastructure in a mission‑critical enterprise environment. The role requires deep expertise in IBM Power Systems, AIX OS administration, and associated technologies such as PowerVM, HACMP/PowerHA, and storage integration. The ideal candidate will ensure system reliability, performance, and security while supporting business‑critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform system installations, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
• Manage logical partitions (LPARs) using PowerVM/VIOS.
• Implement and support high availability solutions (PowerHA / HACMP).
