**Surgical Technician First Assistant - OB Acute at Providence Newberg Medical Center. This posting represents an on-call, variable shift opening with rotating weekends.**
The Surgical Tech Cert First Assist works under the direction of the surgeon to do the following: assist with surgical tasks as requested, assists with set up, preparation and use of instruments, equipment and supplies. The Surgical Tech Cert First Assist sets up and maintains a sterile field and consistently applies principles of infection control, safety and aseptic technique. Compliance with hospital and department policies and procedures standards and mission statements is mandatory.
