SUPPLY TECHNICIAN

Summary You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the Nuclear Material Industrial Section (Code 2305.22), for the Nuclear Material Manager (Code 2305), in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department (Code 2300) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will be responsible for receiving and processing excess material turned in by work packaging and control or other shops and codes. You will prepare monthly reports to determine if stored material is in an excess category. You will perform database transactions to move material into appropriate excess category, updating job order information, location, and final disposition. You will be responsible for proper demilitarization and disposal of excess nuclear propulsion plant components, parts, material, and equipment to prevent unauthorized use.
