Supervisory General Supply Specialist

Responsibilities Research and resolve issues with shelf-life determinations, expiration notices, reject and shipyard authorized use list. Write technical descriptions for new stock item records and ordering data. Resolve issues with quality deficiency and supply discrepancy reports. Screen supply and inventory requisitions using various automated supply management systems. Determine inter-changeability and/or substitution of non-available items. Identify and recommend alternative sources of supply via procurement or manufacturing. Provide logistical support to other DLA Maritime shipyard sites as needed. Respond to inquiries regarding material procurement, repair and disposal.
