Job Summary
The Quality Engineer Staff plans or adapts new methods or procedures to control or coordinate all aspects of several projects simultaneously, and works on the solution of related and technical projects.
The engineer acts as an authority in a specific technical field, exercising considerable freedom in determining technical objectives.
The role involves developing new or improved methods to reduce risks, equipment, materials, processes, products and technical methods.
The engineer mentors lower hierarchy personnel and provides advice to upper management on technical matters.
Best practices and tools of quality engineering are applied to the effective and efficient development of transfers and maintenance of products/processes throughout the product life cycle, including resolution of complex problems at local or franchise level and the use of risk management to prevent unforeseen failure modes.
