Bon Secours Health System has a rich history in Limerick, beginning with the acquisition of Barringtons Hospital on George's Quay in 2017. While the site has served the community well, its limitations led to our vision for a new, state-of-the-art facility to better serve the growing healthcare needs of the region. In 2021, we took the next step towards this vision by breaking ground on the new Bon Secours Hospital Limerick in Towlerton, Ballysimon, with an investment of €190 million. This new hospital is now open and provides advanced medical and surgical care in a modern, sustainable setting.
