Staff Component Engineer

Purpose
Complete projects with suppliers to provide uninterrupted flow of components for assembly operations that comply with instrument requisites, quality, price, and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Produce component cost comparisons and analyze alternative manufacturing methods for Cost Improvement Projects (CIPs).
- Determine the requirements of tools and spare parts to maintain the supply of components.
- Complete technical projects with suppliers to improve supplier process, maintenance capability of the supplier’s process, instrument assembly capability, and instrument output performance.
- Provide technical support for the approbation/validation of changes and supplier process improvements.
- Provide technical support for the resolution of component quality issues.
- Coordinate RMI/CAD/BOM activities.
