Responsibilities
- Perform a full scope of activities associated with the development and administration of the Payroll Department.
- Analyze current payroll processes and procedures to make recommendations for improved accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead efforts in implementing solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings to ensure proper accounting and accurate calculations of hours while following all accounting and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with outsourcing partners and internal customers to ensure proper administration of payroll and tax filings.
- Account for payroll.
- Identify discrepancies between payroll and various Federal and State authorities (e.g., Social Security, State payroll payment).
- Work with upgrades for the payroll system and set up for changes in labor law.
- Stay prepared for future changes in payroll laws.
- Use different legal systems (Idse, SUA, Fonacot).
