Responsibilities
- Design and implement clear, scalable APIs and backend services that power core claim workflows
- Partner cross‑functionally with Product, Operations, Data Science, and Engineering teams to define requirements, develop technical designs, and deliver high‑quality features from concept to production
- Write clean, well‑tested code and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence through thoughtful code reviews and shared best practices
- Instrument and monitor services to ensure reliability, performance, and observability in production
Qualifications
- 5+ years of backend software development experience
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Kotlin, Java, or Python
- Strong understanding of microservices and Kubernetes with experience working on APIs and end‑to‑end development from development to testing
