As a Special Education Assistant, you'll help nurture each child's learning journey while honoring Squamish culture, language, and ways of knowing - planting seeds for lifelong growth and cultural pride.

What You’ll Do

• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) using culturally-responsive strategies
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with diverse learning needs
• Adapt classroom materials to make Squamish language/culture curriculum accessible
• Support behavior management and social skill development through trauma-informed approaches
• Assist with specialized equipment, speech therapy exercises, and daily routines
