Opportunity Description
The Indigenous Studies Department invites applications for a sessional faculty teaching position for the course INDIGST 2HW3: We Are the Medicine – Indigenous Teachings in Health and Wellbeing during the Fall 2026 semester. The position is part of a 3.1‑month contract (approximately 17.89 hours per week) and will involve preparing and delivering lectures, facilitating discussions, and coordinating with field experts to provide experiential learning.
Course Description / Relevant Employment Duties
This course builds foundations in Indigenous concepts of health and wellbeing; beginning with the groundwork of Indigenous thoughtways, it prepares students for later study in the practical application of medicinal knowledges. Students will explore the history, adaptation, and contemporary relevance of traditional health teachings from a nation‑specific context.
