Service Worker I - Emergency

Overview

Your Opportunity: This opportunity is with the Emergency Department at the Strathcona Community Hospital. The facility offers a 24/7 Emergency Department, along with outpatient Ambulatory, Laboratory, and Diagnostic Imaging services. Under the supervision of the Manager, the Service Worker I is responsible for the transportation of supplies, equipment and patient portering within the site. The Service Worker I provides patients with safe, courteous and prompt transportation between departments, distributes supplies/equipment and linen, and communicates to outline adequate equipment/supply levels within the department while coordinating with other departments on site. The incumbent is also required to collect soiled supplies and equipment and dispose of them in appropriate areas on site.
