The Senior Payroll General Ledger Accountant is responsible for managing all payroll-related general ledger accounting activities and ensuring the accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of payroll transactions. This role prepares and posts payroll journal entries, oversees payroll-related month-end close activities, and maintains close checklists to meet strict reporting deadlines. The position performs detailed reconciliations of payroll-related balance sheet accounts, investigates and resolves complex discrepancies between payroll records, bank activity, and the general ledger, and provides clear variance analysis.
