Core Technical Requirements
- Strong hands‑on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and FOCUS
- Experience working in batch processing environments
- Hands‑on knowledge of CA‑7 scheduling
- Strong understanding of flat files and dataset‑based processing environments
- Capability to analyze and interpret legacy/custom‑developed programs, including:
- Understanding program logic and workflows
- Identifying data flows and dependencies
- Supporting maintainability and system documentation
Key Expectations
- Ability to independently review and assess existing mainframe codebase
- Strong analytical skills to decode and document legacy systems
- Prior experience in onsite lead roles, managing and guiding offshore teams
