Purpose of Role

Aids in the execution of Hudbay's exploration activities to create value through increasing reserves and resources of the company.

Responsibilities

• Contribute, as part of the corporate exploration team, to technical projects with geological aspects (e.g., geological modelling, database validation, project evaluation, etc.).
• Ensure best technical practices are introduced or continued for use on our exploration projects.
• Provide geological review (modelling, exploration upside, red flags, etc.) in project evaluations, M&A targets or in‑house projects.
• Communicate progress of technical work to the immediate team on a regular basis; provide technical assistance for exploration projects and target generation when needed.
