Join the Government of Yukon as a Senior Fiscal Economist based in Whitehorse, YT. This role focuses on tax policy, revenue forecasting, and intergovernmental financial relations.
This permanent full-time position involves a commitment of 75 hours bi-weekly. As part of the Fiscal Policy team, you will be critical in developing and evaluating fiscal policies using economic methodologies and data analysis. Your role will also include supporting carbon rebate programs and liaising with senior officials on fiscal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct forecasts for government expenditures and revenues
• Develop, implement, and evaluate tax policies
• Support administration of carbon rebate programs
• Maintain large fiscal and tax databases
• Brief senior officials on tax policy issues
Requirements:
• Degree in economics, statistics, or related field
