Senior Engineer in Bioimage Processing

We are seeking a highly skilled, dedicated and research‑oriented candidate for a temporary position as Senior Engineer (SKO 1181) in bioimage processing at the Institute of Clinical Medicine.

The position is funded by the IT Department at the University of Oslo, through the IT-Hub project “BioImage Processing Hub (BIP-Hub)”, a network supporting bioimaging core facilities at the University of Oslo.

The main focus of the Senior Engineer is to guide, teach and assist researchers at the different imaging nodes with tasks and challenges related to analysis, processing, and visualization of complex multidimensional imaging data.

The Senior Engineer will collaborate with current node‑associated imaging experts as well as with a USIT System Engineer responsible for advanced image processing infrastructure and maintenance of image‑processing software packages and licenses.
