Senior AI Developer Experience Engineer

Role overview

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract to support Planet’s AI-first engineering scale-up. Planet is scaling AI-first engineering across its technology organisation, and the AI Enablement team is helping turn that ambition into day-to-day reality. We are looking for Senior AI Developer Experience Engineers to join the team and help drive adoption across Engineering. This is a hands‑on role focused on AI fluency, developer experience, internal enablement tooling, and measurable improvement across the software delivery lifecycle.

You will work closely with teams across Engineering, partnering directly with developers, QAs, product owners, scrum masters, business analysts, and managers to help them adopt better ways of working with AI. This is not a role from the sidelines. You will spend time with teams, understand where they struggle, coach them in practical contexts, and help embed better habits into real delivery work.
