Security Officer

Overview

The Fire and Safety Specialist will report to the Regional Operations Manager. They assess risks, report findings, and propose solutions related to fire prevention and compliance with NFC, NFPA and applicable codes. They act as liaison between tenants and BGIS.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analysis and Reporting: Inspect the client’s premises for regulatory compliance, analyze issues, and create action plans to resolve them.
• Analyze causes of fire alarms, follow up, propose solutions, and validate changes with stakeholders.
• Prepare and assist with Emergency Response Plans (ERP) in lease renewal contexts; revise analyses and impact reports affecting fire protection.
• Communication: Serve as liaison with tenants, maintain positive stakeholder relationships, and assist in coordinating evacuation plans; provide training on fire prevention and equipment use; support and train stakeholders to resolve operational challeng...
