Opportunity Description
**Position Objective:** The Scientific Linux Researcher is to support several Linux computers in our research facility and to perform data analysis for the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) within the National Institutes of Health.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Perform Linux administration and data analysis 2
+ Perform fundamental procedures required for research projects.
+ Maintains clear and accurate records of laboratory work in defined notebooks and converts those records to electronic records as appropriate.
+ Conduct data storage, and record keeping.
+ Perform data retrieval and entry using multiple IT systems.
+ Operates a variety of laboratory equipment.
+ Maintain and operate Linux-based laboratory computers 3
+ Performs quality control of the laboratory including upkeep and routine maintenance of equipment.
+ Perform trouble shooting of equipment; document actions required to resolve problem and initiate corrective action...
