Safe Sober Site Addictions Crisis Worker (multiple vacancies)

As per Recommendation #114 of the Seven Youth Inquest, there has been an identified need for an alternative detoxification facility that would provide the proper supports and supervision for any youth who may be struggling with alcohol/substance misuse. The KOBE Inquest Safe Sobering Space will be available 24/7 for our students, aged 13-21 years, that need a safe and supervised detoxification and stabilization.

Salary: $48,000 – $81,468

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Diploma in a related field such as Social Work
• Preferred: Degree in Social Work
• Experience in school and counselling environments
• Experience working within First Nations mental health and counselling programs
• 5+ years of education-related work experience
• Ability to speak a local First Nations dialect is an asset
