Position Overview

Permanent full‑time Rural Adult MHSU Clinician in Williams Lake, B.C., focused on youth substance use counselling within the Cariboo‑Chilcotin region.

Responsibilities

• Intake assessment and crisis intervention for adults and elderly with serious mental disorders and/or substance use problems.
• Referral and case management, coordinating services with other care providers.
• Short‑term individual and group psychotherapy, including psycho‑education with clients and their families.
• Collaborative community planning and liaison with appropriate professionals.
• Providing support for acute psychosis, depression, anxiety, complicated grief, suicidal ideation, substance dependence, and concurrent disorders.
• Timely response to individuals in acute crisis.
