Hillcrest Hospital's Pediatric Emergency Department provides pediatric care services in child-friendly waiting rooms where they have more privacy and comfort. This department is staffed 24/7 with board-certified, pediatric emergency medicine physicians, as well as nurses who are certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and pediatric trauma care. The Pediatric Emergency Department has a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) unit which provides children who are victims of assault, abuse or neglect with private care, utmost respect, compassion, complete physical assessments and, i...
