Research Scientist, postdoc, tropical ecology

We are looking for a postdoc to help design and manage ecological field experiment in Indonesian oil palm plantations. You should have experience in tropical and experimental ecology and be willing to spend long periods of time in Indonesia.

Job description

Biodiversity-ecosystem function (BEF) theory predicts that enhancing biological diversity in a system will increase levels of functioning. While BEF theory has been tested extensively in boreal and temperate realms, it remains relatively understudied in the tropics, although this is where the bulk of biodiversity resides.

As part of a Research Council of Finland Fellowship, you will help design and initiate a largescale experiment to investigate BEF relationships in Indonesian oil palm plantations.
