Overview

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) is Spain’s leading supercomputing centre. As part of the High‑Performance Artificial Intelligence (HPAI) group, this role focuses on analysing and explaining the behaviour of opaque agents—including reinforcement learning, logic‑symbolic, and large language models—through novel explainability models.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in telic explainability of opaque agents.
• Design and train explainable AI models.
• Lead experiments with virtual or physical agents.
• Implement reliable, reproducible, and automated training and evaluation methodologies.
• Integrate and apply results from other HPAI projects where relevant.
• Document and disseminate research findings.
