Opportunity Description
Become the first dedicated legal hire at Prospeo as a Senior Privacy Counsel. Lead data privacy operations and commercial contracts in a fully remote role across Canada.
In this full-time position, you will oversee GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA compliance, and lead the privacy program. Your role encompasses managing data subject access requests and vendor negotiations, ensuring your expertise shapes the legal landscape within our B2B SaaS environment. You will report directly to the co-founders and integrate AI tools into your workflow for enhanced efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day privacy program across various regulations
• Handle data subject access requests efficiently
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including NDAs
• Serve as internal contact for litigation and regulatory matters
• Standardize contract templates and playbooks
Requirements:
• Law degree (JD) and bar admission in Canada
