Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Purpose of Position

To provide support to the organization in maintaining compliance and addressing needs related to new and existing business as they pertain to regulatory matters.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Regulatory Affairs Manager. There are no reports into this role.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage risk considering legal compliance requirements, industry best practices, management system requirements, and the Responsible Distribution Canada’s Responsible Distribution Code of Practice.
• Support compliance with Canadian chemical control and environmental regulations including CEPA 1999, the Hazardous Products Act, the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, and related regulations.
• Support the maintenance of the legal register for all legislation relevant to company activities and responsibilities and ensure changes in legislation are captured.
