Registered Nurse {ONA CS-26-111}

The Inpatient Surgery department offers post‑operative care to patients who have had surgery or are under the care of one of our surgeons, as well as providing care to medical and palliative patients.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration – College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certificate required (recent within the last twelve months)
• Minimum (2‑3 years) medical/surgical experience within the last 2‑3 years required
• Current certificate in I.V. Therapy required

• Central Venous Lines Management (CVC)
• Wound management (simple, complex)
• Drain care and management
• Ostomy care and management
• Vac Therapy
• Hyperalimentation, enteral feeding care and management
• Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) certification
