Opportunity Description
Become a vital part of our team at Extendicare as a Registered Nurse at our recent Forest Trail Home in Peterborough, Ontario. This casual role transitions to full time or part-time in Fall 2026. As a Registered Nurse, you will report to the Director of Care and be responsible for comprehensive resident care, medication administration, and ensuring compliance with health standards.
This position requires effective communication and collaboration with healthcare teams to manage resident care plans and emergencies. Your expertise will have a direct impact on enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct care assessments and updates for residents
- Manage and provide medication in line with regulations
- Supervise Unregulated Care Providers in medication administration
- Coordinate nursing team assignments to ensure efficiency
